nature elements

God Almighty created this entire universe, with its heavens, earth, stars, planets, and moons, and He, Glory be to Him, created between all these creatures, whether inanimate or living, a balanced harmony that will never be disturbed except by His will. According to our human knowledge, we know that this universe is composed of five elements. Essential for the continuation of life in its correct form, so we will explain what these five elements are, how they can be linked, and what is the antagonistic relationship between each element and another?

The five elements of nature

  • The element of water: We started with the element of water because it is one of the most important elements for life, but it is at the last of the list of the five elements, due to its stillness and coldness. Its importance lies in the absence of life in all its forms without it, as it is an element that is included in everything that has a soul, so humans, animals, plants, and even microbes. Microscopic particles all consist of a basic element, which is water. God Almighty said: (And We made from water every living thing), and we find water in the sky in the form of clouds, seas, and rivers, and water is symbolized by the color blue or black.
  • Fire: It is all forms of energy and heat in this universe. This element is one of the most powerful elements in energy, and the element of fire is symbolized by the color red.
  • Wood: Everything that grows from the earth is wood, whether it is a small plant, or a huge plant tens of meters high, and the wood element is symbolized by the color green or brown.
  • The soil element: Everything we see on the outer crust of the Earth and other planets or moons is dirt, whether it is sand, dirt, stones, or rocks, and it is symbolized by the color yellow, or the color of clay.
  • Metal element: It is every metal, whether it is hard like iron, soft like gold, or liquid like mercury. These are all metals, and the metal element is symbolized by the color white, gray, or golden.

A historical perspective

The philosophy of the five elements began since ancient times. Scientists have estimated that this philosophy began in the Far East three thousand years BC. This philosophy is difficult to understand from a mere superficial overview of the subject. The ancients linked these elements to the body’s organs as a method. Treatment. These ancient people believed that diseases appeared due to an imbalance in the energies of these five elements in humans.

Examples of the relationships of the five elements

  • The relationship of fire to wood: If we look at the relationship of wood to fire, we find that they complement each other. Fire would not exist without wood, but we can obtain fire from oil, so we say that this oil is nothing but living organisms, especially plants (wood) that have disappeared in the world. The interior of the earth, due to tremendous heat and pressure, turned into oil, and this means that we return to the origin, which is wood.
  • The relationship of fire to soil: After wood burns, it becomes ash, then dirt.
  • The relationship between dirt and minerals: If we look scientifically, we will find that dirt contains mainly different minerals, as they are two elements closely linked to each other.
