Several hadiths were reported from the Messenger Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, regarding honoring parents, including: The hadith that (A man came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and said: O Messenger of God, who is the most deserving of my good companionship? He said: Your mother. He said: Then who? He said: Your mother. He said: Then who? He said: Your mother. He said: Then who? He said: Your father.)And in another hadith, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: (In spite of a nose, then in spite of a nose, then in spite of a nose.) It was said, “Who, O Messenger of God?” He said: Whoever realizes his parents, one or both of them, in old age will not enter Paradise. Here we see the importance of parents and the great reward that the son receives when he serves them. By pleasing them, he pleases his Creator, and they admit him to Paradise.

It is natural that after the death of the mother, the father is the one who will bear all the responsibility towards his children, but will he fulfill the mother’s needs and compensate for her loss? Some fathers bear full responsibility and compensate their children for the lost mother’s affection and do not make them feel inferior, so they are father and mother at the same time. Others may try to fulfill the role but cannot. In all cases, they must pay attention to the children, spend time with them, meet their needs, and provide them with kindness and tenderness. So that they do not feel inferior.
Society's duty towards those who lost their mother
It is necessary to take into account the special psychological situation of the person who lost his mother, especially if he is a child. He must not be made to feel inferior, or that he is less than others, and support should be provided to him. The role of society is to integrate children with each other through establishing recreational centers and conducting cultural activities. So that they do not feel inferior.
