Harmful to their sensitive skin, and it is worth noting that the problem of ants is not only limited to the cleanliness of the house, but also includes a group of other things that we will mention to you in this article, along with ways to get rid of them.

The reasons for the presence of ants in the house

There are ants in abundance in the house for the following reasons:

  • The large number of outlets in the houses, in addition to the cracks in the walls and the floor, and between the tiles, which leads to the entry of ants into the houses quite easily.
  • The old construction of houses, which allows ants to build their own hive, and this leads to not being easily controlled.
  • The presence of leftovers scattered around the house, especially in the kitchen.

Ways to get rid of ants

To get rid of ants and their annoying effects in natural ways, follow the following:

  • Cleaning the house using kerosene once a week, and it is advised to evacuate the homes from children when using it, then ventilate the house well to get rid of its strong smell.
  • Getting rid of excess food scattered on the floor, especially sweets.
  • Using a box containing food, so that it is placed near the places from which the ants come out, to collect it around it, and get rid of it permanently.
  • House cleaning with concentrated materials and Dettol, with this process being repeated daily to eliminate it permanently.
  • Close all the openings from which the ants come out with pieces of soap, and repeat the process whenever the soap melts. Liquid soap can also be used.
  • Soda dough, mix a spoonful of baking soda with a tablespoon of sugar, knead it in the form of small balls, and place it in the places where the ants are, as the sugar attracts the ants, and the soda kills them.
  • Sesame, by placing an appropriate amount of sesame in an open container near the ants' gathering, as it has the ability to disrupt the ants' sense of smell, on which they depend to obtain their food.
  • White vinegar, by mixing equal amounts of vinegar with water, and putting the solution in a suitable bottle, adding any type of essential oil to it, and placing the solution in the places where the ants are.
  • Lemon, by placing an appropriate amount of lemon on windowsills and doors, and pieces of lemon slices can be placed in cupboards.
  • Boiling water, by placing a large amount of boiling water on the ant houses.
  • Cinnamon powder, by mixing it with water, and spraying the mixture on the places where the ants are.
