The importance of energy

The importance of energy

Everything happens because of the presence of energy, and without it there is no life on the surface of the earth, as our bodies need energy to carry out various actions, and we get it through what we eat and drink, and what we breathe of air, and energy is used to run our lives in the best possible way, and energy is It is the ability to perform an action. No work can take place without the presence of energy, no matter how small. Even the cells of the body use energy to carry out their tasks.

forms of energy

  • Sun energy: used for heating and lighting around us, and generating electricity.
  • Muscular energy: It is used to move from one place to another, carry things, do daily chores, and exercise.
  • Energy derived from food: to carry out daily activities, and to function the organs of the body.
  • Wind energy: to run sailing ships more quickly and reach farther places, mills are also running, and electricity is produced.
  • Water flow energy: for transportation and electricity generation.
  • Energy derived from petroleum: which is used for many things, such as means of transportation and some industries.
  • Electric energy: It is used in all aspects of life, such as lighting and operating various devices.
These forms of energy are divided into two types, which are renewable sources of energy, which are non-exhaustible and are not polluting the environment, such as the sun, and non-renewable sources of energy, which are available and polluting the environment, such as oil.

Types and forms of energy

  • Light energy: It is a form of energy produced by a light source, and is used for vision, photography of all kinds, and plant making for its food, and it is one of the oldest forms of energy known to man.
  • Thermal energy: It is a form of energy produced from a thermal source, and is used for heating that the body needs in the winter, for cooking, and for heating water.
  • Electric energy: It is a form of energy resulting from an electrical source, which is produced from multiple sources, and is used to serve humanity so that it has become the most important energy in the life of modern man.
  • Kinetic energy: It is a form of energy produced by a moving body, and every moving body contains kinetic energy to help it move, and kinetic energy is affected by the mass and speed of the moving body.
  • Potential energy: It is the energy that a body possesses as a result of its position, such as gravity, which is very important for preserving life on Earth, and elastic potential energy that is stored in a spring.

energy shifts

Energy transformations help to take advantage of energy in the operation of devices, energy is transformed from one form to another and remains preserved, for example, kinetic energy can be converted into electrical energy through fans that are used to produce electrical energy, and electrical energy is converted into thermal in heating, and from electrical energy to kinetic in Fans, and from potential energy to kinetic energy of water, and there are many energy transformations that occur by nature or by human action.
