The brochure or brochure is considered one of the most important identifiers for institutions and companies. It includes a simple definition of the company, its accomplishments, and its contact information. This applies to the general brochure for the institution or company, but there are other types of brochures. There is the brochure related to a project that is distributed during the project period only, and there are brochures. For some campaigns carried out by institutions, shops and factories; These brochures differ from the basic definition brochure.
To create a brochure, the following must be taken into consideration:
- Objective: Know the purpose of the brochure.
- Collecting data: related to the institution and the goal for which the brochure is to be made, arranging this data according to its classification, and trying to condense it as much as possible, and that it should contain texts and images, not abstract words without illustrative images or pictures of the institution’s work.
- Make a plan for the structure of the brochure (there are many forms of brochure structures), and this plan will be a paper sketch of what will be done.
- Arrange the data in the chart that was drawn.
- Apply the brochure to a design program or to Microsoft Office Word.
To design the brochure:
- On one of the design programs, whether Photoshop, InDesign, or Corel, we open a new work and put the dimensions of the brochure, which are usually the dimensions of an A4 sheet and are in width, meaning that the length equals 21 cm and the width equals 29.7 cm.
- After that, borders are placed on the edges of the folded paper and in the middle, which are the borders that separate the words from the edges of the paper, and in the middle are the borders that separate the words from the folding border of the paper. It will not remain flat, but will be folded, so one cm is taken from each side and from the middle of the paper, and before... In order for this process to be completed, you must know the structure of the brochure. Is it two-fold, three-fold, or some other form? This takes into account the number of folds in the paper.
- The pages must be numbered after division, in order to know the content that will be placed on each page. The first page often contains the organization’s logo and name in large font, and a large picture of the company or expressing it, and the last page contains contact and communication information, while the rest of the pages contain the content of the brochure according to Her goal.
- In the trifold, the page numbering is as follows: The first side (from the right) is numbered 5, then 6, then 1, and the other side of the paper contains 2, then 3, then 4. Accordingly, the contents are divided into sections. The first and last section of the brochure we mentioned its contents, and the other sections contain Stay to the point and include pictures in a clear way. Each side is designed separately, then both sides are sent to the printer to be printed. However, if the booklet is a double booklet, the matter is easier, as the first side contains pages 4, then 1 (in order from the right), and the other side contains 2, then 3. - The colors of the brochure must be well chosen, based on the colors of the organization’s logo and its profile.
