The hair iron can be used to straighten the hair by following the following steps:
Preparing the hair for the ironing process
Before starting to iron your hair, you must do the following:
- Clean the hair by washing it with shampoo and using conditioner, then dry the hair to facilitate the process of ironing the hair.
- Apply a hair protectant from heat, as it maintains hair moisture and prevents it from drying out. Do not apply it directly to the scalp, as it should be 2.54 cm away from it.
- Divide the hair into three parts; The first part is the hair at the front of the head, which is separated and tied. The second layer is the hair remaining behind the ear and collected with a hair clip. The third part is the hair at the back of the neck. If the hair is thick, it can be divided into other parts, and if it is very thin, it is divided into two parts. Or it may not be divided.
Ironing the hair
Hair can be ironed by following these steps:
- Adjust the temperature of the hair iron to the appropriate temperature; The temperature is set between two degrees (93-149) degrees Celsius for fine or damaged hair, between two degrees (149-177) degrees Celsius for hair of medium density or good condition, and between two degrees (177-205) degrees Celsius for very thick, coarse, or curly hair.
- Iron a strand between 2.5-5.1 cm in size, as the hair will not be straightened properly if the hair thickness is greater than that.
- Hold the strand with one hand, then use the iron several times to obtain a straight strand, staying 2.54 cm away from the scalp, and treating the strand gently and in a straight motion, avoiding shaking the hair.
- The process is repeated until all layers of hair are straightened, ending with the top layer to obtain straight hair.
- Spray the hair with hairspray to straighten it.
