Polish it with plain water and dishwashing liquid

It is possible to polish gold with plain water and dishwashing liquid by following the following steps:

  • Fill two cups of warm water into a bowl.
  • Add a few drops of dishwashing liquid.
  • Drop the gold nuggets into a bowl of warm, soapy water, and leave them to soak for 15 minutes.
  • Cleaning gold from dirt.
  • Remove the piece of gold from the solution, and rub it using a soft-bristled toothbrush, in order to remove the dirt stuck in the edges.
  • Washing the gold with warm water, removing traces of soap from the gold.
  • Drying the gold with a piece of soft cloth, and it is recommended to dry it completely, so that its shine increases.

Polish it with soda water and dish soap

Gold can be polished by soaking it in a mixture of soda water and dish soap, by pouring a few drops of dish soap into a bowl filled with soda water, then placing the gold in a small strainer, after which the strainer is placed in the bowl and left for five minutes, then the gold is removed. From the refinery, and clean it by gently rubbing it with a soft-bristled toothbrush, after which the gold is returned to the refinery, washed with clean water well, and then dried with a soft cloth.

  • Avoid using any materials that scratch gold during the cleaning and polishing process, such as toothbrushes with rough bristles, baking soda, and other gold abrasive materials that scratch gold.
