How to make turmeric soap

Melting and pouring method

The first method for making turmeric soap is the melting and pouring method, and this method is explained in detail below:

  • Ingredients:
    • Two teaspoons of turmeric powder.
    • 60 ounces of goat milk soap (glycerin or shea butter can be used as a substitute for milk).
    • Two teaspoons of essential oil or soap-scented oil.
    • Medical alcohol.
    • Rectangular silicone mold.
  • Manufacturing Method:
    • Cut the goat milk soap into small pieces to facilitate the melting process, then put it in the microwave for 15-30 seconds until it melts completely, stirring from time to time.
    • Add turmeric powder to the melted soap, and then add the favorite essential oil to the mixture. You can add one type of oil, or work on mixing two types of essential oils together, but you must first make sure that they are safe for the skin.
    • Add a tablespoon of ground oats as desired. Oatmeal is very beneficial for the skin, especially skin that suffers from acne.
    • Mix the ingredients together well using a rubber spatula to obtain a cohesive mixture that is consistent in color and texture.
    • Pour the mixture into the silicone mold, making sure to spray the top with medical alcohol. This is to prevent air bubbles from forming.
    • Cover the top of the mold with plastic wrap, and leave the soap to cool for 12-24 hours, after which the soap is ready for use.

  • Ingredients:
    • Two sachets of green tea.
    • 15 ounces of water.
    • 1.5 ounces of turmeric powder.
    • 8 ounces of coconut oil.
    • 3 ounces of castor oil.
    • 2 ounces of avocado oil.
    • 15 ounces of olive oil.
    • An ounce of hemp seed oil.
    • 2 ounces of cocoa butter.
    • 1.5 ounces of mango butter.
    • An ounce of shea butter.
    • 4.9 ounces of sodium hydroxide (caustic soda).
    • ounce of liquid sodium lactate solution.
    • 2 ounces essential oil (optional).
    • Rubber gloves and safety glasses.
  • Manufacturing Method:
    • Add green tea bags to a jug containing water, and keep them in the refrigerator overnight. In the morning, squeeze the bags and dispose of them. It is possible to dispense with green tea and replace it with plain water only, but it is preferable to add it when making soap. This is because it is rich in antioxidants that are beneficial for the skin.
    • Pour 11.8 ounces of tea into a heat-safe teapot.
    • Sodium hydroxide is added gradually and slowly to the jug while stirring with a wooden or plastic spoon. Attention must be paid here not to add water to the solution because it will lead to an explosion, and attention must be paid to the necessity of using safety equipment, such as wearing glasses and rubber gloves. Good ventilation must also be provided by opening windows, and turn on the gas hood.
    • When the temperature of the solution becomes 35-44 degrees Celsius, sodium lactate is added to it.
    • Place the oils and butter in a stainless steel bowl, and melt them over medium heat.
    • Mix the turmeric powder with the butter and oil mixture using a hand blender.
    • Add the sodium hydroxide solution to the oil and butter mixture, and mix them well together using a blender. Essential oil can be added if desired.
    • After mixing the ingredients together well, pour the mixture into the special molds, then work on leveling the top with a spoon, cover the mold with a plastic cover, and then cover it with a blanket or towel.
    • Leave the mixture for 2-3 days, then after the period is up, take the soap out of the mold and cut it into pieces of the preferred size.
    • Finally, the soap is left for 4-6 weeks to dry well, and it is ready for use.
