Make a paste out of flour

Flour glue is one of the easiest and simplest types of glue, but it does not last for a long time, and it is used in very simple works. To make flour glue, you can follow the following:

  • Mix half a cup of flour with a third of a cup of water in a deep bowl, and stir the mixture until it becomes thick, taking into account that the resulting dough is not too thick or too thin.
  • Heat the resulting dough over medium heat until it boils, keeping in mind the continuous stirring.
  • Remove the pot from the fire, and wait until it cools completely before using it.
  • The amount can be doubled if a larger amount of glue is desired, but if a smaller amount of glue is desired, you can start with the desired amount of flour and then gradually add water until the appropriate consistency is obtained.
  • Use the resulting glue to stick paper, or to make greeting cards. It should be mentioned that the glue must be completely dried after sticking to avoid rotting. A little salt can be added to the mixture and stirred well to avoid rotting as well.
  • Put the glue in an airtight container and keep it in the refrigerator, as this glue lasts for a week or two, and more water can be added when using it again if it is dry.

Make glue from milk

Milk glue is versatile, and milk and other household ingredients are used to make it, as milk contains casein protein, which is the basis for making glue, but it is not useful in making glue when the milk is in its liquid state, so it must be obtained in its solid state by Using vinegar.   • Dissolve two tablespoons of powdered milk in a quarter cup of hot water.

  • Store the resulting glue in an airtight container, where it will remain usable for a week or two if placed in the refrigerator, or one to two days if kept outside the refrigerator.

Make glue from cornstarch

To make glue from cornstarch, you can do the following:

  • Heat half a cup of water mixed with a teaspoon of vinegar and two tablespoons of corn syrup in a suitable saucepan until the mixture boils.
  • Mix about a quarter to three quarters of a cup of water with two tablespoons of cornstarch and add it to the mixture during the heating process, mixing it well.
  • Leave the mixture until it cools completely, then pour it into an airtight container and put it in the refrigerator until needed. The glue will keep for two to four weeks if kept in the refrigerator, and will work best if left overnight before using it.

Making a waterproof glue

This type of glue is used to stick porcelain, ceramics, or metals, and this type of glue is water-resistant but not heat-resistant, so it is usually advised not to put things that have been attached to it in the dishwasher or in the microwave, and to make a water-resistant glue, you can follow following:

  • Mix an envelope of unflavored gelatin with three and a half teaspoons of cold water and stir well.
  • Heat a quantity of skim milk in the microwave and take two teaspoons of it, then mix it with the gelatin and stir it well until all the lumps are gone.
  • Use the resulting glue after it has cooled well, and it can be kept in an airtight container until needed for a period of three days, and heated by placing the container over a saucepan containing hot water when desired to use it.

Making vegetable gum

Vegetable glue consists entirely of natural materials, and this type of glue has a delicious taste if children taste it when sticking paper, and although the glue that will be made through the following method is not very strong, it suffices the purpose if you want to use it on papers and prints:
