Cleaning and exfoliating the skin

How to make a body scrub

Body scrub

It is exfoliating the body to remove dead skin cells and blackheads, and it is one of the most important methods of skin care. The scrub works to soften, moisturize and lighten the skin, in addition to stimulating blood circulation as well. It also nourishes the skin and gives it a wonderful shine.

Body scrubs are available in all pharmacies, but body scrubs can be prepared at home in a variety of ways. In this article, we will learn about ways to prepare a body scrub using materials available in every home.

Apricot scrub

We will need two tablespoons of baby shampoo, a teaspoon of castor oil, a teaspoon of apricot oil available in pharmacies and herbal shops, a teaspoon of salt, a teaspoon of ground almonds, and finally we add a teaspoon of beeswax.

We first melt the beeswax in a bowl over the fire, add castor oil and apricot oil, then remove the mixture from the heat, then add salt, almonds and baby shampoo and stir them well until they blend together. After that, we take the mixture and massage it all over the body, then wash it with lukewarm water.

Coconut scrub

We will only need coconut oil, sugar, and cinnamon. If the coconut oil is solid, we can melt it by putting it in boiling water, and it will dissolve immediately. We put the coconut oil in a deep bowl, and add the amount of sugar to it. Here you must take into account that the amount of sugar should be four times the amount of coconut oil, then add a little ground cinnamon, and mix the ingredients well until we get a brown mixture. We massage the wet body in a circular motion, then leave the scrub on the body for five minutes, then wash it with lukewarm water.

Olive oil scrub

In a bowl, put half a cup of sugar with a quarter cup of olive oil, stir them together well, then add a quarter cup of lemon juice, and mix until a wonderful scrub mixture is formed. We moisturize the body first, then take an amount of the scrub mixture and rub the entire body with it in a circular motion. We leave it on the body for a quarter of an hour, then wash it with lukewarm water, and then massage the body with cold rose water until the facial pores return to normal.
