Ways to fold clothes

There are many ways to fold and organize clothes based on the design of the item, including:

Folding shirts

The method of folding shirts varies according to the length of their sleeves, but they are elegant and easy to choose when you want to coordinate clothes to go out comfortably, in addition to the fact that they take up less space, as follows:

• Long-sleeved shirtIt is folded by following the following steps:
  • Lay the shirt out on the table, then take the first side and fold it toward the center.
  • The first sleeve is folded back away from the middle of the shirt, then it is re-folded in half down towards the bottom of the shirt, i.e. its bottom, so that the sleeve forms an inverted letter (L), and the same process is repeated for the second sleeve.
  • The shirt is folded back to its bottom so that it looks like a rectangular garment.
  • The upper part of the shirt is folded over the lower part in the middle, so that it is easy to carry and place in the closet upright.
• Short-sleeved shirtThe half-sleeved shirt is folded in the same way as the full sleeves, but instead of folding the sleeves in the shape of an inverted letter (L), they will be folded backwards away from the middle of the shirt, then continue folding and following the rest of the steps.
• An other wayShirts can be folded in another way as follows:
  • Fold the first side of the shirt towards the middle.
  • The sleeves are turned back in the middle of the shirt, then folded again on each side.
  • The shirt is folded in half lengthwise into a rectangle.

Folding pants

Pants are easily folded by following these steps:

• Jeans pants: It is folded in the following way:
  • The jeans are spread out on a flat surface, then the pockets are straightened from the inside and tucked together well.
  • Fold the pants in half so that the back pockets are on top of each other.
  • It forms a small triangle in the thigh area.
  • The pants are folded in thirds or in half, depending on the size of the space allocated for them in the closet.
• Fabric tiles: It is folded by following the following steps:
  • Iron the fabric pants to ensure that any folds and creases are removed, and place them on a flat surface.
  • The pants are divided in half (the center at the top), or folded from the crease if they are ironed with a specific crease.
  • The pants are folded in thirds or in half, depending on the size of the space allocated for them in the closet. Cloth pants can be stored in a special bag to maintain their folds and the rest of the parts straight.

Folding dresses

The dresses are placed on a flat surface and folded as follows:

• • Wrinkles and creases are removed and the dress lies perfectly flat.
  • The dress is folded in half if it is short, or in 3 folds if it is long.
  • A third of the skirt is placed inside the dress, so that the dress appears rectangular.
  • The remaining part of the skirt is placed inside the dress on the other side in the same way as before, then folded in half or into thirds to obtain a rectangular piece at the end.
  • NoteYou can maintain the straightness of the dress and avoid wrinkling or folding it incorrectly by hanging it, especially if it is luxurious and expensive.

Folding socks

Socks can be folded in two ways:

• In the shape of a ballThe socks can be rolled up and put together into a ball, after placing them on top of each other equally, then folded by placing one inside the other in a spherical shape.
• Roll it up and fold itThis is done through the following steps:
  • Place the two socks crossed (in the shape of the letter T) with the opening of the second sock facing down.
  • The first sock is folded from the right side over the vertical sock, then from the other side so that the two socks join in the form of a straight line.
  • Fold the socks in half.
  • Roll the two socks so that one goes inside the other.

Folding and organizing scarves and shawls

Scarves and shawls in particular need to be folded and organized in correct ways to prevent wrinkles, in addition to taking advantage of a small space to accommodate the largest amount of them, in the following ways:

• Fold it into a drawer organizerThe organizer contains designated squares for each shawl, where the shawl is folded in half, then re-folded thinner until a width of approximately 12 cm is obtained, then it is wrapped loosely in the form of a spiral, and placed in its own square.
• Hang it on the rod: Where the shawl is folded in half, and re-folded until a smaller width is obtained, then hung from the middle lengthwise on the hanger and a knot is made over it, then untied and made loose, and the process is repeated for more than one shawl.
• Use a hangerThis method is similar to the method of wrapping shawls on a rod, but it is preferable to use them for velvet shawls, or made of fabric that does not slip quickly, so that a loose knot is made for several shawls to be hung on a hanger, and these hangers are placed inside a designated closet, or inside the wardrobe.

Folding clothes in a travel bag

To fold clothes in a travel bag, you can follow the following steps:

• The jacket is placed first on the surface, and the second, if available, is placed on top of it so that the sleeves are tucked together.
• Short dresses or shirts are placed facing up in the opposite direction, and the sleeves of the two pieces are on top of each other.
• Add a pair of folded pants or a long dress horizontally, so that the belt location is parallel to the edge of the folded clothing.
• Another pair of pants is added in the opposite direction.
• The bag, organizer bag, or thing in which the clothes will be placed after you finish folding them is placed in the middle.
• All pieces are folded in reverse and individually around the middle of the first sweater that was started.
• Place the carefully wrapped package inside the bag.

Folding clothes

Accumulating clothes and not organizing them and folding them correctly will lead to their wrinkles, in addition to their disorganized appearance, and they will take up more space and make the closet look full of random, scattered clothes, which makes it difficult to arrange and fold them afterwards, and makes it boring and takes a lot of time. Some of them may also need to be reused. Ironing it again, while arranging and folding it regularly, in a neat and tidy manner, preserves it, makes the closet more beautiful and organized, and makes it easier to select clothes from it. You may not need ironing either.
