Cleaning gold with ammonia

Cleaning gold using vinegar

White vinegar is used to clean gold. It is easy to use and the results are great. Where the piece of gold is placed in a bowl of white vinegar, and left for a period ranging between ten minutes and a quarter of an hour at most, and then it is taken out and gently rubbed with a toothbrush with soft bristles if there is a need for that or if any dirt remains on it.

Clean gold with warm water and liquid soap

The piece of gold is placed in warm water with a small amount of well-known liquid soap in it, and a toothbrush is used to clean the piece, then it is rinsed with clean water and dried well with a piece of cloth.

Tips for keeping gold clean

  • Avoid using unknown types of soap when cleaning gold, whose ingredients are not known, and all gold jewelry and pieces must be removed before bathing.
  • It is absolutely forbidden to put chlorine on gold pieces, especially at high temperatures or in hot water. As this leads to dyeing the gold piece, or even destroying it, and for this reason, care must be taken to remove the gold pieces when cleaning with the use of bleach.

Therefore, it is recommended to visit him when you want to clean or polish gold to avoid staining or damaging it.
