Hernia symptoms

The symptoms that appear on people with hernias vary according to the severity and location of the hernia. In general, the most common symptoms associated with hernias can be stated as follows:

The appearance of a lump or swollen part at the site of the hernia.
A feeling of heaviness or discomfort in the intestines, especially when bending over.
Feeling pain when exerting effort, especially when carrying or lifting heavy things.
Facing problems at the level of the digestive system, such as suffering from constipation.
The disappearance of the prominent lump or bump when lying down.
The bump is enlarged and more prominent when coughing, standing, or straining.

Types of hernia

There are many types of hernia, including the following:

Inguinal hernia: (in English: Inguinal hernias), and it is the most common type of hernia, and the people most likely to suffer from it are men, and it is represented by an inguinal hernia by the eruption of fatty tissue or part of the intestine in the groin area that represents the origin of the thigh.
Femoral hernia: (in English: Femoral hernias), and this type of hernia is less common than the previous type, and it most affects women.
Umbilical hernia: (in English: Umbilical hernias), and it occurs as a result of the eruption of part of the intestine or fatty tissue in the abdomen near the navel, and infants and adults can suffer from this type of hernia.
Hiatal hernia: Or hiatal hernia (in English: Hiatus hernia), and it occurs as a result of part of the stomach pushing through the hole in the diaphragm.
