Among all the months of the year, God distinguished the blessed month of Ramadan and designated it to perform a great obligation, which is the obligation of fasting, as fasting is considered one of the five pillars of Islam, and it is a generous, blessed and great month, in which God made the good deeds multiplied, as He singled it out because it was the first revelation of the Holy Qur’an in it, and that On the Night of Decree, which is equivalent to a thousand months in reward and reward, and God Almighty says in the decisive revelation: (The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Qur’an, a guidance for people and clear proofs of guidance and the Criterion. So whoever of you witnesses the month, let him fast) [Surah Al-Baqara: 185], The holy month of Ramadan is a month in which many acts of worship meet, and in it goodness and giving increase and blessing increases, and in it Muslims increase in prayer and perform the prayer of standing up in congregation, as its days and nights are distinguished by a special flavor, its day is fasting and its night is prayer and standing.

In Ramadan, heaven and earth are adorned, joy enters hearts and souls rejoice. The holy month of Ramadan is like a tender breeze that ignites the fuse of joy in the heart, sows joy and faith in the soul, increases the believer’s spirituality, and spreads its fragrance throughout the whole month, and the sky is studded with prayers and wishes. The month of answering prayers and forgiveness of sins, the month of alms and goodness, and goodness in it is like a field of ears of corn, God multiplies its reward for whomever He wills, and God gives in it to every fasting person a reward that no one knows except Him, and from the grace of God Almighty in the holy month of Ramadan, that God brings joy and happiness into the heart of the fasting person. In this world and the hereafter, the fasting person rejoices when he calls the call to prayer for sunset, and he also rejoices when he meets God Almighty because he fulfilled the duty of fasting in it.
