How to authenticate books

APA documentation system

This system is the American Psychological Association's method APADocumentation is carried out depending on where the references are written, as follows:

  • Inside search: If the reference from which it is taken is a book, the author’s family name is written in parentheses, then the page or pages. If the reference is research, it is written in the same way as the book’s book, and if it is a website, it is written in the following format: the author’s name, if available, then the title. The article, then the year, then the location.
  • At the end of the search:
    • Reference book: Author's family name, author's name, year of publication, leave two spaces, title of books in underlined form, then edition, leave two spaces, publishing house, location of the house.
    • Reference published research: The author's family name, the author's name, the year of publication, the title of the research and placed between quotation marks, the name of the journal and the information related to it, which are: volume, issue, pages.
    • Reference: Unpublished university thesis: The author's family name, the author's name, the year, the title of the thesis, written between quotation marks, the university, then the country of publication.
    • Reference website: Author's family name, author's name, year of publication, article title, underlined.

MLA documentation system

To document references using this system, you must follow the following steps:

  • Write the author's name in the following order: last name, author's name.
  • Reference title: placed between quotation marks and written in italics.

  • Publisher: List either the name of the organization or person responsible for the source.
  • Publication date: This can be the year only, or the year and month only, or the year, month and day.
  • Location.
  • Date the article was viewed.
  • Volume number.
  • Release.
