How to prepare Kohl Al-Athmad
Zamzam water method
- Impurities and dirt are separated from the stone by soaking it in Zamzam water for three consecutive days.
- The stones are extracted from the water and then ground, and it is possible to add some drops of each of Zamzam water, castor oil or olive oil, and the stones must be grinded several times until the stones become like a fine powder.
- The stone powder is kept in a special and clean box.
Rosewater method
- The antimony stone is soaked in a mixture of saffron and rose water, for a period of not less than three months, or until the antimony stone becomes soft.
- Antiquities stones are extracted from the mixture, and then ground until they become smooth like powder.
- The antimony powder is sifted using a soft cloth, in order to clean the antimony kohl powder from impurities, and the sifting must be repeated five times, until the kohl is completely cleaned of impurities.
- The powder should be kept in a clean container or container until use.
