Play iPhone on Apple TV

The process of operating the iPhone on the TV requires the following steps:

• Connect the yellow connector on the AV cable to the yellow video input port on your TV. If the AV cable is a component type, insert the red, green, and blue video connectors into their corresponding ports on your TV.
• Connect the white connector of the AV cable to the left audio port.
• Connect the red connector of the AV cable to the correct audio port.
• Plug your connector into the slot at the bottom of your iPhone.
• Turn on the iPhone and the TV, then change the TV channels until the input channels are suitable.
• Go to the video on your iPhone, then play it, and press the “Play” icon until it is displayed on the TV.

Play iPhone on TV using AirPlay

You can benefit from the AirPlay feature (in English: Mirroring) when you apply the following steps on an Apple TV:

• Connect your iPhone to the same Internet network as your Apple TV.
• Scroll to the top of the screen once the two devices are connected, then search for Control Center.
• Look for the “Screen Mirroring” icon on the left in iOS11, or look for the “AirPlay” button on the right in iOS10 or earlier.
• Click on the “Screen Mirroring” icon, or the “AirPlay” icon in iOS or older versions.
• Click on Apple TV from the menu that appears in iOS10 and recent versions. Once you click on the icon, the process of turning the iPhone on the TV is completed.
• In iOS 7-9, swipe to access “Mirroring,” then tap on it until your iPhone connects to the Apple TV and mirroring begins.

Turn iPhone on old TV

The composite cable is used to connect the iPhone to old TVs. In general, the cable does not perform mirroring, but rather directs possible applications, photos, and video files to the old TV. The resolution is not high, as the video size reaches 480i.
