The benefit of the story of Solomon, peace be upon him

Solomon, peace be upon him

The Prophet Solomon, peace be upon him, was mentioned in many places in the Holy Qur’an, and the Qur’an mentioned his news and circumstances that call for taking a lesson and admonition. His story was mentioned in a general form in some surahs, and it was mentioned in detail in Surat An-Naml, which is a long story that contains many great benefits that... A Muslim must benefit from it, by employing it in his life and all the work he performs. In this article, we will introduce you to the benefit of the story of Solomon, peace be upon him.

The benefit of the story of Solomon, peace be upon him

The benefit of the story of Solomon, peace be upon him, with the hoopoe

  • The hoopoe denied it when he saw a woman leading men. God created the instinct in humans and jinn that the man is the one who leads women.
  • He has a good progression of reporting. The hoopoe informed Solomon, peace be upon him, from the smallest, which is women leading men, to the largest, which is polytheism in God Almighty.
  • The hoopoe transmitted the image as it was, and did not issue a ruling on it, but rather left the ruling to Solomon, peace be upon him. He also did not alter or distort anything from Solomon’s message to the people of Bilqis.
  • Solomon’s prayers for his people were good. He did not curse them or insult them even though they prostrated to the sun, because his primary goal was to establish monotheism.
  • The hoopoe used the well-known jurisprudential rule, which is: If interests compete, the highest interests are preferred. This was demonstrated when he presented the invitation to God to attend Solomon’s council.
  • The high morals of the Prophet Solomon, peace be upon him, and his good thoughts and humility in accepting the testimony of the hoopoe. God Almighty said: (We will see whether you are truthful or are among the liars.)[An-Naml: 27].
  • The story of Solomon with the hoopoe indicates that the prophets do not know the unseen.
  • Suleiman’s position indicates that he inspected the conditions of his subjects and sought to protect them. Despite the small size of the hoopoe, he did not lose sight of him and asked about him.

The benefit of the story of Solomon, peace be upon him, with Bilqis

Queen Bilqis is considered one of the most famous queens in history. The Holy Qur’an recorded her journey with her people from disbelief to faith and guidance at the hands of the Prophet Solomon, peace be upon him. She was mentioned in Surah An-Naml on the tongue of the hoopoe. (Indeed, I found a woman ruling over them, and she has been given all things, and she has a great throne. *I found her and her people prostrating to the sun instead of God, and everything has been made fair to them. Their deeds are overwhelming, and they turn away from the path, so they are not guided.) [An-Naml: 23, 24], The Holy Qur’an stated that Bilqis worshiped the sun, ruled a large country and was extremely wealthy. Bilqis was not an ordinary woman, but rather a role model. She sought the gift after examining the evidence and evidence herself. Among the benefits of the story are the following:

  • Suleiman wrote to Balqis and said: ( and it is from sulaiman and it is "In the name of Allah the most Beneficent and the Merciful) [An-Naml: 30], Even though he was a king, he did not mention his praise either before or after his name, as he only mentioned his name, and this indicates his complete humility.
  • Bilqis is considered an example of a rational woman, who is not biased toward falsehood, nor is she inclined to whims and disobedience. She did not let the fanaticism of her tribe and religion control her and obscure the light of truth from her, so she read Solomon’s message carefully and pondered.
  • Bilqis was an example of an honest and fair woman, through her description of the Book of Solomon as generous.
  • Bilqis was keen to provide goodness to everyone, by announcing publicly the truth of the Book of Solomon. God Almighty said: (It is from Solomon, and it is in the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, do not you rise above me and come to me in submission) [An-Naml: 30, 31].
  • It revealed the reality of a woman who seeks peace and abstains from war and destruction. God Almighty said: (Indeed, when kings enter a town, they corrupt it and humiliate the honorable of its people. And that is what they do.) [An-Naml: 34], Therefore, her resort to bribery in the form of a gift to Solomon was not surprising.
  • She was an example of a chaste and pure woman, who realized that respect is not gained by displaying bodily charms, excitement and temptation, so she did not resort to that to test the prophecy of Solomon, peace be upon him.
  • Bilqis was an example of a woman who understood the truth of Islam. She realized that it was pure loyalty to God Almighty, and had nothing to do with attachment to people. This was demonstrated when Bilqis responded to Solomon’s call when he said: (And come to me in submission) [An-Naml: 31], and she said: (My Lord, I have wronged myself, and I submitted with Solomon to God, Lord of the worlds) [An-Naml: 44]
