Causes of yellowing of the face in children

Yellowing of the face

It is a condition resulting from the natural color of the human face changing to a yellowish color. The reason for this is a lack of blood flow reaching the blood vessels responsible for nourishing the face, due to blood disorders that occur to the person.

One of the main causes of this type of disease is damage to the liver, because the liver is the organ responsible for providing toxin-free blood to all parts of the body. However, if the color of the whites of the eyes changes to yellow, the patient must do special liver tests and see a doctor. Immediately.

Yellowing of the face in children

Children are among the people who are highly susceptible to yellowing of the face and whites of the eyes, due to the accumulation of bilirubin in the blood and body tissues, which is a yellow pigment found in red blood cells. This disease is called “jaundice.”

As for newborns, they are more susceptible to jaundice, and children are not the only ones susceptible to this disease. Jaundice may affect women, men, and adults, as cases of fibrosis and inflammation in the liver and gallstones cause yellowing of the face.

Jaundice is treated quickly among children, but there are cases that require immediate professional diagnosis, because its complications lead to brain damage. It is also necessary to ensure yellowing of the eyes and skin, and the distinction between orange color, or the skin changing to any other color.
