Sermons and commandments Moaz bin Jabal

Moaz bin Jabal bin Omar bin Aws, he is from the Ansar tribe and he is one of the most famous companions and one of the imams of jurisprudence in Islam and one of the companions who participated in the Battle of Badr.

He was very careful to distinguish between what is permissible and what is forbidden in all matters of his life, until the Prophet said about him (that he is the most knowledgeable of my nation about what is permissible and what is forbidden).

He was a pious, devout, ascetic, and devout person with great fear of God, Glory be to Him. He was very knowledgeable of justice between his two wives, and was famous for his great generosity and generosity. He had many sermons and commandments that he learned by virtue of his strong adherence to the Messenger - may God bless him and grant him peace - and he conveyed these teachings and sermons to Muslims with accuracy. His honesty and responsibility, the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, praised him so much that he likened him to our master Ibrahim, peace be upon him, and said that he was upright.

The venerable companion Muadh ibn Jabal was buried in Jordan, where he died of plague disease at the age of thirty-eight years.

A century of knowledge with action

Warning against despair and heresies

On the authority of Abu Idris al-Khawlani that Muadh bin Jabal said that behind you there is a trial in which wealth increases and the Qur’an is opened until it is taken by the believer and the hypocrite, the man and the woman, the young and the old, the slave and the free. For what he invented misguidance, and I warn you of the deviation of the wise, for Satan may say the word of misguidance on the tongue of the wise, and the hypocrite may say the word of truth. He said, “Yes, avoid the well-known words of the wise, which are said to them, ‘What are these?

exhort him to repent

When Abu Ubaidah died in the plague of Amwas, and he appointed Muadh bin Jabal to lead the people in prayer and lead the army, Muadh bin Jabal stood up and said: O people: Repent to God for your sins. If he owes a debt, let him fulfill it, for the servant is dependent on his debt, and whoever of you becomes an immigrant to his brother, let him meet him and reconcile with him, and it is not appropriate for a Muslim to desert his brother for more than three days. I advise him, so have mercy on him and attend prayers for him

Warn him through the bad

On the authority of Abdullah bin Rafi’, he said: When Abu Ubaidah was afflicted with the plague of Amwas, he appointed Muadh bin Jabal, may God be pleased with him, as caliph over the people.

O people, there are four faults of those of you who are able to not be aware of any of them, so none of them will be able to reach them. They said, “And what are they?” He said, “A time will come when falsehood will appear, and a man will follow one religion and evening will follow another, and the man will say, “By God, I don’t know what I am?” He does not live on insight and does not die on insight, and a man is given money, God’s money, on the condition that he speaks false words that anger God
