Angel Waterfall is located in the Gobana Highlands in southeastern Venezuela. This waterfall is considered the highest waterfall in the world, with a height of nine hundred and seventy-eight meters. The width of this waterfall is one hundred and fifty meters. Its waters descend from a flat plateau called (Devils Mountain), and it is difficult to see well because of the forests. It is dense with trees surrounding it, and you can listen to the scenic beauty of nature surrounding the waterfall, and wander through those rainforests that shelter many wild animals such as vultures, hummingbirds, and leopards.

History of Angel Falls

The plane of the American gold prospector and pilot, James Crawford Angel, crashed in the year one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven AD, and fell on Mount Tepui, from which the waterfall descends. UNESCO declared this site a world heritage site in the year one thousand nine hundred and ninety-four AD.

  • There are many attractive areas for residents close to Angel Falls, such as: Yuri Waterfall, Elsabeton Waterfall, Orchidia Island, Raton Island, and Canaima Lake.
