History of judo

The history of judo began with the emergence of Japanese jujutsu. Jujutsu developed thanks to samurai fighters, and enjoyed great popularity in the past. In the nineteenth century AD, more than 700 various jujutsu styles were taught, and in the fifties of the nineteenth century AD There were many changes in customs, values, and traditional Japanese culture that led to the loss of the samurai class.

As capitalism spread in the country, the industrialization movement developed, and during that period also individual activities declined significantly. Such as martial arts and jujutsu due to interest in state affairs, as many jujutsu schools and some martial arts methods disappeared, which played an important role in the emergence of judo.

 

Judo techniques

Japanese judo was a combat method that did not use weapons, but now it is considered primarily a type of sport. This sport is characterized by complex sporting rules, the primary goal of which is to control the opponent without causing him harm, by putting pressure on the joints of the neck or arm with the aim of weakening the opponent. The opponent has complete control over him. The uniform used in this sport is white cloth pants and a loose jacket. Jigoro has preserved the classic jujutsu techniques in the sport of judo, and judo associations were established in countries affiliated with the International Judo Federation, whose headquarters are located in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.
