Combing wet hair

The hair can be combed after wetting it with water using a fine-toothed comb designed to remove lice and its eggs. The hair is combed from the scalp to the ends, twice in one session, and the process must be repeated every three or four days for at least two weeks.

Use some essential oils

Among the oils that can be used to remove lice are the following:

  • tea tree oil: As tea tree oil is used as a natural and powerful insecticide to remove lice and their eggs, and the way to use it is:
    • Mix a tablespoon of tea tree oil with 29 ml of shampoo and three teaspoons of olive oil or coconut oil.
    • Apply the mixture to the hair and scalp, then cover the hair for an hour.
    • Rinse the hair with hot water, then comb it completely to remove lice and their eggs.
    • Repeat the process daily, and tea tree oil should not be applied directly to the head.
  • Coconut Oil: Coconut oil helps to get rid of lice and their eggs, by:
    • Rinse the hair well with diluted apple cider vinegar.
    • Apply coconut oil to the hair and scalp after it dries, then cover it with a towel or shower cap.
    • Leave the oil on the hair all night, then wash it the next morning.
    • In the morning, comb the hair well, then wash it as usual.
    • Repeating the process for a week to remove lice and their eggs. Anise oil can also be added to coconut oil to enhance its ability to eliminate lice.

Using materials that cause suffocation of lice and their eggs
