Muhammad's book by Tawfiq al-Hakim

The writer Tawfiq Al-Hakim: He is a very brilliant writer and novelist in the world of Egyptian literature in a large way. He was also born in Egypt in the city of Alexandria. He was born in 1897 AD. He spent his childhood in the Egyptian countryside with his father, who was one of the richest farmers, and his mother was of Turkish origin. This helped him learn about Turkish culture and delve deeper into it. He attended public schools in Beheira for primary education, followed by his travel to the city of Cairo to complete secondary education. Tawfiq al-Hakim was fond of music, theatrical works, and acting, but in the year 1919 AD, he was arrested. With his uncles because they participated in the revolution that was taking place in Egypt at that time.

Tawfiq Al-Hakim fulfilled his father's wish and studied law, then traveled with the intention of postgraduate studies at the University of Paris, but his passion for the world of theater made him forget about postgraduate studies and made him focus on Western literature, and he did not obtain any certificates in postgraduate studies.

Tawfiq al-Hakim held many senior positions. He worked as a prosecutor, and then he moved to work as an inspector. He also held the position of director of the department for music and theater in the ministry. He left all government work in the year 1944 AD, and decided to devote himself to writing, so he wrote many works and books. The great works that dealt with many aspects, some of which were political, some were literary, some were in the form of stories, some were written books that talked about the current conditions in Egypt.

He had a special style through which he was able to attract many people, and his books received great success and great demand for purchases. He also had some works that were performed on stage, but they were not a large number.

The most famous of these books is his book Muhammad, which contains within it many points, the most important of which are:

First: The topics of the book were inspired by the real heritage that lives around it, and the matter appears clearly through the name of the book, as it symbolizes the Messenger Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace.

Second: The book was a play, and this play was an example of his method of theatrical writing, which falls under the trend of mental theatre, which is a type of play in which the spectator uses his mind a lot while watching, and in some of them the ending is open, and the writer leaves the matter to the human mind. In order to think about the following events, this play consisted of ninety-five scenes.

Third: The Book of Muhammad is a play consisting of the introduction, which contained eight scenes. It also deals with the topic of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad until God sent him and the revelation of Gabriel to him. After the introduction come the three chapters, the first chapter talks about the sending of the Holy Prophet and his migration. To Medina, and the second chapter talks about the migration and after the Battle of the Trench until the conquest of Mecca, and the third chapter talks about the conquest of Mecca until the death of the Holy Prophet.
