  • Aging: The older a person gets, the greater the chance of contracting it. Therefore, after reaching the age of forty, a person must take into account all necessary measures to prevent arthritis.
  • Gender: Women are more susceptible to infection than men, due to what they are exposed to during pregnancy and childbirth, and thus changes in the body’s hormones.
  • The joint has been subjected to a previous injury: The injury may be the result of playing sports or performing great physical effort.
  • Overweight: People who are overweight have a greater chance of injury, and this is because the pressure increases greatly on the joints, especially the knees and spine.
  • Suffering from some diseases that change the nature of the formation of cartilage itself.
