Making hair accessories

Girls' interest in their hair is not limited to combing it and making different hairstyles, but also decorating it with hair accessories of various shapes and sizes. There are many simple and inexpensive methods that can be followed in order to make hair accessories manually, by exploiting some of the objects and needs found in the home. Enjoy wearing a new hair accessory when going out with friends, at evenings, and on various occasions.

Make a hair bow

To make a hair bow, it is important to have a long and wide colored ribbon, scissors, adhesive glue, and a wide hair clip. The steps are:

Cut a short section of the colored tape and leave it until use.
The colored tape is folded into the shape of a bow, then a little adhesive glue is placed in the middle of the bow, and the short part of the colored tape is wrapped around it, with a little adhesive glue spread on its edges so that they stick to each other and to the bow.
Spread a sufficient amount of adhesive glue on the outside of the hair clip, then attach the bow to it by pressing it with your fingertips, and leave it until it dries.

Make a hairband

To make a hairband, consider having an old hairband, preferably one that is wide in the middle, adhesive glue, a group of colored stones, and colored tape.

Spread adhesive glue along the old hair band.
Wrap the colored ribbon around the old hairband until it covers it completely.
Place a small amount of adhesive glue on the back faces of the colored stones.
Colored stones are glued to the ring by gathering them harmoniously in one place, or distributing them along the length of the ring.

Making hair accessories for special occasions

To create a sophisticated, shiny accessory for special occasions, consider having a small rectangular hair handle, adhesive glue, and a shiny silver or gold accessory. You can use a neck accessory pendant or get a new accessory.

Spread a little glue on the top of the hair handle.
Place the accessory on the adhesive glue, pressing it with your fingertips for a while to help it stick.

Make a hair elastic band

To make an elastic hair band, consider having an old piece of cloth, preferably cotton or any other type of elastic, scissors, thread, a needle, and colored beads pierced in the middle.

Cut the piece of cloth into a wide rectangle with a length suitable for the roundness of the head.
The two ends of the resulting rectangle are sewn together to obtain a circle-shaped elastic band.
Colored beads are sewn on one side of the elastic band in the shape of a rose or star.
