The Nile River

The Nile River is considered the longest river in the world, and there is disagreement about its exact length. Its length can be estimated at about 6.853 kilometers. It flows from the north through the tropical climate of East Africa and reaches the Mediterranean Sea. The Nile River passes through eleven countries: Tanzania, Uganda, and Rwanda. It is found in Lake Tana in Ethiopia, and the Nile meets Blue with the White Nile near the Sudanese capital Khartoum, and from there the day flows north through the desert in Egypt, then reaches the Mediterranean Sea through a large delta.
