Filler injection
Filler injections are a cosmetic treatment used to reduce the severity of wrinkles and scars in the skin. It is also used to increase the size of the lips and give them fullness by injecting them under the skin with the aim of lifting and plumping a specific area for a certain period of time. Filler injection method
Before starting to inject the filler, the area to be injected is anesthetized with a local anesthetic, then the dermatologist or plastic surgeon injects the filler under the skin. The duration of one session takes approximately a quarter of an hour, and other sessions are performed after a few weeks.
Side effects of filler injections
Filler injections have many side effects, including:
- Swelling and redness at the injection site, which is a normal occurrence and usually disappears several hours after the session. If it continues for a longer period, the irritation can be alleviated by using cold compresses.
