When you are asked to drink tea with someone in Jordan, know that it is not really about tasting the tea, but about the social aspect. Just as other cultures often ask, "How are you?" Wander through lesser-known cities

There are plenty of things to see and do in Oman, but if you want to immerse yourself a bit more in the local culture, take the bus to some of the lesser-known communities and cities, to get a better sense of the local life. All you have to do is walk around and of course you will start meeting people and locals who invite you inside.

The village of Al-Salt is the ideal village to learn about local life, as it is the village that was located in the hills outside Amman, and it is considered the most important settlement in the region between the Jordan Valley and the Eastern Desert. Due to its history as an important trade link between the eastern desert and the west, it was an important place for many rulers of the region.

Feynan Eco Lodge Jordan

Perhaps what will attract your attention the most in Jordan, dear traveler, are the Bedouin communities, especially since the inhabitants of those communities are still present in Jordan and already preserve their authentic customs and traditions, which they will treat you with during your visit.

I stayed in a Bedouin community at Feynan Lodge located near the Dana Nature Reserve, where the lodge employs about 27 local Bedouin as staff, doing tasks ranging from cooking, to reception duties to candle making (because the lodge has no electricity).

Also during your visit, you can explore the biosphere reserve or take a walk around the area and learn about the local community. And just like everywhere else in Jordan, there's a good chance you'll be invited to someone's tent for tea!
